**Gauge**: 28 sts x 34 rounds on 3.75mm needles, cable pattern **Sizes**: Mini Regular **Yarn**: DK (see below for amounts) **Needles**: 3.75mm circular needles with 40-80cm / 16-32” cable **Finished Size**: *(not including collar)* Mini (500ml) 13.5cm x 17cm / 5.25” x 6.75” Regular (2L) 18cm x 29cm / 7” x 11.5” **Accessories**: Embroidery needle, stitch markers, 500ml **2L** hot water bottle **Difficulty** Intermediate **Techniques** Judys Magic Cast On OR long tail cast on and mattress stitch Working in the round Increasing Decreasing Working Cables Following a chart **Yarn & Gauge** This pattern was written for superwash Merino yarn which by nature can grow a lot with washing/use. Negative ease has been added to allow for this so if you prefer to use a non superwash or woolly yarn, you may want to go up a needle size as not only will your cover grow less but will also felt a little with use, meaning it will get smaller (and more insulating). The best way to be sure is to gauge swatch. Mini Lay Family Yarn DK Silky Yak, 60% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Silk, 212m/100g, Undyed, approx 50-60g / 106-127m Regular Lay Family Yarn DK 100% Superwash Merino, 212m/100g, ‘Cosy Night In’ Advent 2025 approx 80-100g / 170-212m **Construction** Worked bottom up and in the round starting with Judy’s Magic Cast On, increases are made to shape the bottom of the cover. The body is worked in a cabled pattern. The neck is shaped with decreases and finished with a 1x1 or 2x2 rib collar worked using the magic loop method or on DPNs. Magic loop is recommended for the Mini size.
