Stitches are then picked up around the bottom to continue knitting the body in the round, featuring a textured two-color pattern. The dotted motif is created using slipped stitches in contrast color, giving a playful texture with minimal colorwork. Finally, a fabric lining is sewn and attached to the bag. Sewing instructions are included. **Important information:** All measurements and yarn quantities are based on: My Knitted Closet – The Tweed Merino, held double Felted at 30°C (86°F) and 800 rpm If you use a different yarn and/or wash at another temperature, the size may vary. **Felting is optional,** you might prefer the unfelted texture. Just keep in mind that the given fabric measurements for the lining will not fit if you skip felting, as the bag will remain larger. FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Measurements refer to the bag after felting and drying. Bottom: 26.5 cm [10½”] × 9.5 cm [3¾”] Height: 28 cm [11”] **GAUGE** Worked in the round, using the recommended yarn held double, and the stitch pattern described below, with 4.00 mm [US 6] needles. Before felting: 20 stitches × 36 rounds = 10 × 10 cm [4 × 4”] After felting ( machine wash at 30°C / 86°F, 800 rpm): 21 stitches × 41 rounds = 10 × 10 cm [4 × 4”] After felting, the fabric shrinks slightly more vertically than horizontally, resulting in a denser texture. **MATERIALS** **Yarn:** My Knitted Closet - The Tweed Merino: 100% merino wool. | 50 grams, 350 meters [380 yards]. Main color: 80 g (≈560 m / 610 yd), shown in Chocolate. Contrast color: 20 g (≈140 m / 155 yd), shown in Glacial blue. **Needles:** 4.00mm [US 6] circular needles, 60 cm [24”] cable. To pick up stitches around the bottom and work the first few rounds, use one of the following: Double-pointed needles (one for each side of the rectangle), or A circular needle with an 80–100 cm [32–40”] cable for Magic Loop. Use the needle size needed to obtain gauge. **Notions:** Bag handles (sample shown with 60 cm [24”] handles). A continuación, levantamos puntos de la base para continuar tejiendo el cuerpo del bolso, con un motivo con textura y color. El motivo se crea deslizando puntos en la vuelta que tejemos con el color de contraste, aporta una textura divertida y muy fácil de tejer. Finalmente, se cose un forro que luego se une al bolso. Opcional: para cerrar, he usado un cierre de imán, pero puedes no cerrarlo, poner una cremallera, o cualquier otro tipo de cierre que te apetezca. Aguja lanera para coser y rematar cabos.
