About The Nordic Tote: The Nordic Tote is a felted cross-body bag with a thick shoulder strap and a modern design. Firstly you knit half of the base and one of the short sides. Then you pick up stitches from the center and repeat the process to shape the other half of the base and the second short side. You then pick up stitches along the long side of the bag and knit back and forth in stockinette stitch, joining the short sides to the long side at each turn. You knit a doubleknitted shoulder strap from each edge of the short sides and join it using Kitchener stitch. Finally, you assemble the bag and felt it to its finished result.
