Indigo Crest is a top-down triangular shawl inspired by the crest of a wave touched by light. It combines rhythmic Wave Lace and soft garter with eyelets to highlight the sheen of lace weight yarn. Beginning with a small cast-on, the shawl expands with a steady edge and spine increases into a fluid and elegant fabric. **Materials** Yarn West Yorkshire Spinners Exquisite Lace (Lace weight, 80% Falkland wool, 20% mulberry silk 100 g = 800 m / 875 yds) MC: #518 Windsor 30 g (240 m / 260 yds) CC: #11 Pearl 17 g (135 m / 148 yds) **Needles** 2.5 mm circular needle, 80 cm or longer Notions Stitch markers and tapestry needle **Finished Measurements** Approx. 112 cm / 44" wingspan and 45 cm / 17¾" depth at center, after blocking. **Gauge (after blocking):** Overall fabric (lace and garter combined): approx. 23 sts × 27 rows = 10 cm / 4" Wave Lace pattern: approx. 21 sts × 26 rows = 10 cm / 4" Gauge is not critical for this shawl.
