Schwarzwald

The **Schwarzwald** (Black Forest) is a region in the southwest of Germany known for its dense coniferous forests and peaceful, nature-loving atmosphere. This triangular shawl was inspired by this landscape. It is knitted from the bottom up and can be adjusted in size depending on the amount of yarn used. The pattern is varied, yet simple and easy to remember – perfect for anyone looking for a beautiful, uncomplicated project. This shawl is the result of a collaboration with [Zauberwiese][2], a hand dyer who lives in Flensburg but grew up in the Black Forest. Her unique color “Dunkelwald” fits this theme perfectly and gives the shawl a natural, harmonious touch. My sample: 400 g / 14 oz (2000 m / 2180 yds) of [Zauberwiese Softmerino Lace][1] yarn. Size is approx. 100 × 190 cm / 40 × 75 in (H × W) Less yarn is also enough. 300 g / 10.5 oz (1600 m / 1750 yds): approx. 87 × 160 cm / 34.25 × 63 in (H × W) The gauge is not important, but it affects the final size. -------------------------------------------------------- Der **Schwarzwald** ist eine Region im Südwesten Deutschlands und bekannt für seine dichten Nadelwälder und seine ruhige, naturverbundene Atmosphäre. Inspiriert von dieser Landschaft, ist dieses Dreieckstuch entstanden. Es wird von unten nach oben gestrickt und kann je nach verwendeter Garnmenge in der Größe angepasst werden. Das Muster ist abwechslungsreich, aber trotzdem einfach und gut einprägsam – perfekt für alle, die ein schönes, unkompliziertes Projekt suchen. Dieses Tuch ist das Ergebnis einer Zusammenarbeit mit [Zauberwiese][2], einer Handfärberin, die zwar in Flensburg lebt, aber im Schwarzwald aufgewachsen ist.
