Snopko is a grain-inspired pattern rooted in the visual language of harvest. There is also a matching [Snopko beanie](/patterns/library/snopko-beanie) . Named after the Ukrainian word “snip” for “grain bundle” or “sheaf,” it captures the linear rhythm, density, and layered textures found in cereal plants and their bracts. Structured yet organic, Snopko reflects the quiet poetry of natural repetition, a design that feels both grounded and gently in motion. This round-yoke pullover is knit top-down in the round. The lower yoke, body, and most of the sleeves are worked in a waffle pattern on the wrong side of the fabric. The design combines a variety of textured patterns, including half-twisted rib, cables, and garter stitch.
