Additionally, the intarsia technique is used to create big geometric overlapping shapes in different colors. Seen from the distance it seems like fields in solid colors - coming closer, these fields dissolve into horizontal lines of two different colors. These are formed by the chain of bumps that are created by changing color every row in garter stitch. This gives the fabric an unusual - almost woven - look, playing with its appearance depending on the viewer's distance. The two layers of perception keep the garment interesting beyond the first glance.
