Morning Mist

This design is part of my book [New Ways with Crochet][1]. The book explores **fresh stitch ideas** and ways to adapt and combine them for projects of all kinds, from garments to blankets. The Morning > Mist shawl comes from **Chapter 5: crochet cables.** **CONSTRUCTION** The Morning Mist shawl is worked from one side corner to the opposite side, with increases placed along the wingspan, making it easily adjustable by working fewer or more row pattern repeats. The design alternates between three stitch patterns: single crochet ribbing, eyelets, and gentle, thin cables. **MATERIALS** Yarn: Malabrigo Arroyo (100% Superwash merino wool), DK/Sport; 100g (306m/335yds), in shade Peggy (AR334); 3 skeins Hook: Size 4.5mm (US G/7) hook **GAUGE** 19 sts and 20 rows measure 10 x 10 cm over single crochet ribbing pattern after blocking **MEASUREMENTS** Wingspan: 147 cm (58in) Depth: 65 cm (25.5in) *I create new crochet stitches to show a quieter, softer side of crochet: calm, simple, and casual.
