Comfy Reversible Socks

The Comfy Reversible Socks are knit in the round from the toe up. The sock features a simple ribbed texture with a Fleegle heel. The nature of the ribbed fabric and the gusseted Fleegle heel create socks that are comfortable, stretchy, and able to accommodate a wide variety of foot shapes and sizes. The nature of both the ribbing and the Fleegle heel makes these great for gift knitting, as the socks are very stretchy and can accommodate a wide variety of sizes and feet shapes. The reversible nature of the sock also makes it more comfortable for the folks who struggle with the texture of the purl side of stockinette fabric. I think this pattern is best for the adventurous, confident beginner, and anyone that wants to try something new! **Have fun and happy knitting!** There are 6 sizes available for sock circumferences ranging from: Y1: 5”, 12.5cm | Y2: 6”, 15.25cm | A1: 7”, 17.5cm | **A2: 8”, 20.25cm | A3: 9”, 23cm | A4: 10”, 25.5cm** These sizes will fit foot circumferences ranging across (5”, 6”), 7”, **8”, (9”, 10”)**. Given the stretchy nature of ribbing, many of these sizes can fit a half size up or down. These socks fit best with some negative ease. Aim for a sock circumference 0.5-1.5” or 1.25-3.5cm smaller than the actual circumference of your foot. If your measurements are between sizes, pick the smaller size. Ribbing is very forgiving. **Gauge**: 32 stsx48 rows. Per 4x4” or 10cmx10cm. Measured across stockinette stitch fabric made in the round. Achieved with Light Fingering and Fingering yarn on 2.25mm needles. **Needle**: US 1 2.25mm needle - 40”/100cm circular for Magic Loop (or whichever length circular you prefer) **Suggested Yarn:** * Coates & Co Cottage Sock * Lang Jawoll Superwash 75/25 * West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4-ply * Use whatever Light Fingering / Fingering weight sock yarn you’d like! **Materials & Notions:** * Removable Stitch Markers, Ruler, Scissors, Tapestry Needle, Row Counter (optional), calculator (optional) * 1 100 gm Skein of Light Fingering/ Fingering Sock Yarn (aim for about 400 meters in a skein, it is unlikely you will use the entire skein, except for maybe the largest size!) * 1 20 gm Skein of Light Fingering / Fingering Sock Yarn (This is for the contrast toe/heel, which is optional) This pattern has been tech edited by [Fibres of My Being][1] The following sizes have been test knit: A1, A2.
