Exogamy

This is an Outlander/Blood of my Blood inspired pattern. Exogamy: Marriage outside of one’s clan. This crocheted shawl interweaves two colors representing the joining of two clans, the MacKenzies and maybe the Grants, but hopefully the Frasers. Each row is worked twice, once in one color then in the other. All chain floats on a row are concealed when working the following row, making the shawl completely reversible. Created with fingering weight yarn, as pictured Kelbourne Woolens Camper (50g/200yds/183m), requiring two skeins of each color (as pictured Sunflower Heather and Mulberry Heather).
