Juni Vest

## Juni Vest ## I named this vest after a family cat who loved to take naps on my yarn. The Juni Vest is the perfect, all year round, pattern for when you want to add a layer to your outfit. This pattern is great for advanced beginners wanting to pick up some new techniques. This vest is worked from the top down. After working the back panel using short rows, stitches are picked up to form the two front sides separately. Stitches are then cast on under the arms, joining the front and back panels. The body is worked in stockinette flat. Stitches are picked up to form the ribbing on the button band, arms and neck. Lastly, stitches are cast on to add the i-cord ties. **Yarn guide:** Two strands BC Garn baby alpaca in shade 05 Red (50g/250m) 120 (150, 150) 160, 165 (170, 175) 180, 185g/730 (750, 750) 800, 830 (860, 900) 930, 960m. Paired with One strand Drops brushed alpaca in shade 07 Red (25g/140m) 130 (135, 135) 142, 148 (154, 160) 166, 171g/ 44 (750, 750) 800, 830 (860, 900) 930, 960m. My samples were knitted using two strands of light fingering yarn held double with one strand of brushed alpaca silk. You could use one strand of a DK weight yarn with one strand of brushed alpaca as long as it fit gauge. You can substitute the brushed alpaca for mohair, but it may effect your gauge slightly due to mohair being slightly finer than brushed alpaca silk.
