Pettson Vest

It's not a row-by-row instruction but I hope it will spark your own creativity and inspire you to play with colours, scrap yarns and intarsia.** The Pettson Vest is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The back piece is worked in reverse stockinette, with the wrong side facing, while the fronts are worked with the right side out. The v-neck and optional pocket add a classic touch, and the notch in the buttonband add a contemporary feel. Choose a marled yarn for a salt and pepper look or choose your favourite colour for the perfect go-to layer on chilly days! Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) Recommended ease 0-10 cm / 1-4” of positive ease at the chest. Vest’s circumference at the chest Chest circumference: 83 (90.5, 100.5, 110.5, 120.5) (133, 145, 156.5, 164) cm / 32.75 (35.75, 39.5, 43.5, 47.5) (52.25, 57, 61.5, 64.5)” Yarn Xollawool Bauma (100% Spanish wool, 125 m/137 yds on 50 g). Wooldreamers Mota (100% Spanish wool, 230 m / 251 yds on 100 g). Sample 1 shown in sz 1 in Bauma, colourway Eban. Sample 2 shown in sz 2 in Mota, colourway GBN. Yardage Approximately 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) (5, 5, 6, 6) balls of Bauma or 2 (2, 2, 3, 3) (3, 3, 3, 4) balls of Mota. Or approximately 370 (410, 460, 500, 530) (560, 600, 660, 710) m / 405 (448, 503, 547, 580) (612, 656, 722, 776) yds of worsted weight yarn. Needles 4 mm / US 6 for rib 5 mm / US 8 for stockinette Or size needed to obtain gauge. The body of the vest is worked back and forth on a long circular needle. The button band is worked back and forth on a long circular needle, and the armhole edges are worked in the round using either a short circular needle, DPNs, or a long circular needle and the magic loop technique. Notions Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, darning needle. Gauge 16 sts x 23 rows/rounds to 10 cm / 4” on 5 mm / US 8 needles in stockinette after blocking.
