A Simple Breath

It was included in your purchase price.* *NOTE ABOUT YARN: This design uses a slightly different yarn from the mohair lace weight listed by Frankie Grey Fibres in the Ravelry database. It is a 64%/36% kid mohair/silk blend with 420 meters/459 yards per 50 gram skein. Because the yardage is a bit lower in the put-up I used (459 for the one I used vs 477 for the Ravelry listing), I did not link to the database yarn.* Inspired by the deeply touching poem “Kindness” by Naomi Shihab Nye, A Simple Breath will wrap you in an oversized hug of love and comfort. This is a straght-forward knit, for those times we need something soothing and just interesting enough to ooh and ahhh over. Worked with US 8 needles, it knits up fairly quickly, and the mohair halo fills in the lacy open fabric to create a floating confection of a hug. This shawl is a mashup designed to incorporate elements of the three previous 2024 Lace Lovers Club shawls. I hope you love it! Each pattern will include a medium (for regular yarn option) and tall (for double yarn option) size. The medium size will use from 700-950 yards. The tall size will vary, but in general will use at least 1200 yards. The club will include four total new Romi lace shawl patterns, and this listing is for the pattern only option. Yarn used for the patterns will be lace weight to light fingering weight. At the end of the club shipment term, the fourth pattern, a mashup of different lace patterns from the previous three club designs, will come out. Patterns will include live YouTube support where you can ask questions, watch demonstrations, and suggest topics. Single club patterns will not be available to the public until February of 2025, but the pattern only eBook option will remain available throughout the club term. eBook patterns will be downloadable both from your Ravelry library and through your Designs by Romi account (to create an account, go to [designsbyromi.com][11] and link your Ravelry account).
