Húsafell Shawl

*Choose two colors of yarn to knit this large shlanket filled with stripes and brioche stitch. I combined Qing Fibre Yak Singles with Melted Baby Suri to create this cloudy soft fabric with a liquified drape. The hand dyed merino yak silk yarn is incredibly soft to knit with and the Melted Baby Suri alpaca creates the most beautiful frothy texture. Begin at the top center with brioche ribbing followed by short rows and eyelets. I knitted my shawl while staying at a cozy cabin in Húsafell, Iceland. The striped sections are very relaxing and soothing to knit during car rides and sitting by the window during long sunny summer evenings.
