**Sun Pillars** *A super-cosy yoke pullover for cold days, inspired by the distinctive phenomenon when ice crystals and low light combine to illuminate the winter sky. See also the beautiful Fergus McCreadie tune of the same name (on his “Stream” album (2024)).* **Yarn** Kate Davies Designs Ooskit (100% British Wool; 220m / 240yds per 100g skein) A Riach: 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8) x 100g skeins B Choffer: 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) x 100g skeins Note: Yarn is held doubled throughout. Wind skeins together (dividing into 2 50g balls if necessary), before knitting. **Needles and Notions** Gauge-size and below gauge-size circular needles of appropriate lengths for working body, yoke, and neckline Gauge-size and below gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences (for sleeves) Stitch markers Waste yarn for holding stitches Tapestry needle **Gauge** 14 sts and 18 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork pattern and stockinette in the round using gauge-size needle(s) If your gauge tends to tighten when working small circumferences and / or colourwork, you may need to go up a needle size for sleeves and yoke. Use 6.5mm needle as a starting point for swatching. **Sizes** Finished chest circumference: 92.5 (101.5, 112, 120.5, 131, 141, 153.5) cm / 36½ (40, 44, 47½ 51½, 55½, 60½) in Shown on KD in the first size. **Pattern notes** This circular yoke pullover is knitted from the bottom up, all in one piece. The body is made first, followed by the sleeves, before joining together and working the colourwork yoke from a chart, which is read from right to left throughout.
