Menton 2

Rugged and timeless, handsome and casual — Menton 2 is my menswear/unisex version of its more feminine counterpart, Menton 1. This is one of those classic Aran-style sweaters that’s coveted by all, making it the ideal design to translate for a more masculine fit. Using the same awesome cables, including an original cable design — also seen in my [Gordes][1] beanie — this version of Menton is sized using *ASTM for Men*. This means the yoke depth, body, and sleeves are a bit deeper and longer than the women’s wear version for a more masculine silhouette. This pullover is made in the same beautiful, soft, and rustic-looking [De Rerum Natura Gilliatt][2], a semi-woolen spun yarn produced in France. It’s an ideal workhorse yarn with handsome sophistication that creates a sweater destined for a cozy cabin retreat or a ski trip to the French Alps. As we are eternally TEAM SEAM, this raglan is made from the bottom up in pieces and seamed. Optional directions for tubular cast ons are provided for extra polished finishing. The neckband is picked up and worked in the round, then bound off & folded over, and finally seamed to the pick up ridge for a classic Aran-style crewneck with extra warmth and structure.
