Petals Sweater

The “Petals” Sweater is a round yoke sweater knitted seamlessly from the top down. The yoke starts with a section in stockinette, which also includes short rows. It evolves into the textured petals yoke motif. The body and sleeves are knit in stockinette and finished with a small lace petals detail which transitions into the ribbing. The neckline ribbing is knitted afterwards by picking up sts. “Petals” is inspired by the interlocking petals of a flower with several rows of petals. While this structure is unique to each flower, it also reminds me of a mandala-like shape, which has been translated into the knitted form in this design. This is a warm and cozy sweater that can also be worn in the transitional seasons of spring and autumn thanks to the subtle lace details! **MEASUREMENTS** **Sizes:** 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6), 7, 8, 9, 10 **Finished bust circumference:** 84.5, 93.5, 106.5, (115.5, 124.5, 138), 146.5, 155.5, 169, 178 cm 33.75, 37.5, 42.5, (46.25, 49.75, 55.25), 58.5, 62.25, 67.5, 71.25 inches -> The pattern is designed to be worn with a positive ease of 10 to 20 cm / 4 to 8 inches for the body. The sample shows size 3 worn with 12 cm / 4.75 inches of positive ease. **MATERIALS** **Yarn: Honer Och Eir Nutiden held double** 385, 440, 485, (525, 585, 670), 735, 815, 895, 980 g The sample is knitted in the colorway “Sona”. Since every Nutiden blend is different in feel & yardage, the recommended amounts include a buffer and yarn for swatching. --> **Yarn substitution:** any DK weight wool yarn should work. My testers used various different yarns between 220m-300m per 100g and they all worked out beautifully.
