Południca / Poludnica

Południca is a classic triangular shawl, rich in puffs stitch and front and back post DC. It is my first pattern, on which I spent many hours of work. I personally made three Południca shawls to test the construction using crochet hooks of sizes 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm. The Południca pattern is intended for intermediate crocheters; however, I have discovered that beginners are also capable of handling it exceptionally well. The length of yarn used during the testing of the Południca ranges from 1700 meters, where it was completed early, to as much as 4000 meters for a second iteration that was begun. The pattern itself is divided into eight precisely and clearly defined sections, along with checkpoints and a legend for reference.
