# Crochet Chess Queen Amigurumi Pattern – No sewing! This chess queen amigurumi works well as a decoration or part of a big chess set (other figures will be added to my Ravelry store!) Written pattern with a lot of pictures so it's easy to follow. If you are anything like me, you will appreciate the fact that this is a chess amigurumi pattern without sewing! The figure is worked from the bottom up in one piece – absolutely no sewing included! ## Size: The finished size depends on the yarn you are using, with the suggested 8/4 cotton yarn the size is: Height: 28cm / 11 inches Width: 9cm / 3.54 inches ## Skill level: Easy/intermediate You need to know basic stitches, increasing, decreasing, and working on back loops and front loops. ## Yarn usage: Depends on the yarn. Suggested: 200 m / 220 yards of 8/4 cotton. ## Other materials: * Hook: 2.5mm hook (or one that matches your yarn) * Toy stuffing * A piece of plastic/cardboard/etc. (size of the figure’s bottom) and scissors to cut it * Tapestry needle (just for weaving the ends – no sewing!) * Stitch marker or a small piece of other color yarn ## Notes: The pattern uses 8/4 cotton yarn (fingering/superfine) and a 2.5mm hook. Any yarn is fine but remember that yarn impacts the size of the finished figure. Also, the amount needed varies based on the yarn. Choose a hook size that fits the yarn you are using. The pattern is written in standard US terms.
