A monocline is a formation in rock strata where layers make a step-like steeper bend from one horizontal level to another, much as the cables do on these socks. The pattern assumes familiarity with cabling and basic cuff-down sock construction techniques. It will go a lot faster if you know how to work cables without a cable needle - I have not included a tutorial for this in the pattern since there are a number of good ones, such as [this one][1], already available. The cable pattern is currently provided only in charted form. Four sizes are included: Small (56 stitch cuff, to fit approximately 7 inch foot) Medium (64 stitch cuff, to fit approximately 8 inch foot) Large (72 stitch cuff, to fit approximately 9 inch foot) Extra Large (80 stitch cuff, to fit approximately 10 inch foot) These fit a bit tighter than a stockinette sock with the same stitch count. If you’re printing the pattern in black and white, you’ll want to make note of the highlighted columns on the charts. Thank you very much to hottann, Nicole, binemayabine, kesalm, Sabine, nevolik, Malyma04, mfour2884, tastywench, Jeanamaria, patpen, Peebs, and my other testers!
