Candlelit Classics Sontag Shawl

I’ve always loved the ‘old fashioned’, and when the inspiration hit for this shawl, I knew I just had to make it. With a shape reminiscent of the many gorgeous shawls worn by Claire in Outlanders, and a drape inspired by the immensely talented Moral Fiber’s Novella Shawl (If you like my designs, check her out, because you’ll love hers), this shawl was designed to embody my self-indulgent draw towards the nineteenth century. Basically, the pattern works up to a large triangle meant to be worn wrapped around the shoulders and tied at the back. It’s soft and cozy, like a warm hug, and will be the perfect companion to snuggle up with a good book (and a mug of hot cocoa!) as the weather turns colder. So light a candle, put on your favorite song, and let’s get crocheting!
