**It's got a bend in it** *A exuberant chevron and a fun multi-directional construction defines a bold, two-tone cardigan inspired by The Beckoning Lady.* **Yarn** Kate Davies Designs Milarrochy Tweed (70% Wool; 30% Mohair; 100m / 109yds per 25g ball) **Note that yarn is held double throughout.** A Lochan OR Backen’/Gloamin’ (marled): 14 (15, 18, 20, 20) x 25g balls B Birkin OR Thrift: 6 (6, 8, 9, 10) x 25g balls **Needles and notions** Gauge-size and below gauge-size circular needles (of your preferred length and type) for knitting back, shoulders, scyes and fronts Gauge-size and below gauge-size needles of your preferred type for knitting small circumferences Tapestry needle Stitch markers (2 types, x and y) Spare needle cords or waste yarn for holding stitches **Gauge** 16 sts and 24 rows to 10cm / 4in, over stockinette, worked back and forth, on gauge-size needle(s) Use 5mm needle as a starting point for swatching. **Sizes** Total garment circumference (front edge to front edge): 106.5 (123, 135.5, 157.5, 171) cm / 42 (48½, 53¼, 62, 67¼) in Select a size above your actual body measurements with the amount of ease preferred (at least 15cm / 6in of ease is recommended). Shown in the second size on Kate D (in Lochan and Birkin) in the first size on Kate C (using Backen and Gloamin marled together for shade A and Thrift for shade B) and in the third size on Alison (in Snapdragon and Eyebright) **Pattern notes** This wrap cardigan begins with a garter tab cast on. The garment back is worked in a striped stockinette chevron pattern, shaped with paired yarnover increases around a central spine. When the back is complete, the right shoulder, scye, and front are shaped and the shoulder joined with a three needle bind off. After the left shoulder, scye and front are worked to match the right, a garter stitch and i-cord edging is picked up all around the neck and front opening. The sleeves are worked top down, and finished with a garter stitch and i-cord cuff.
