Siroc Socks

The Siroc Sock design came about as a way to bust my sock stash, especially my leftover advent self-striping sock yarn from years past. I wanted a motif that would not only play nicely with the horizontal striping, but would also add a bit of vertical detailing for visual interest. This is achieved with simple 1/2 left and right cross cables that are enjoyable to knit and work up fast! **This pattern has been tech-edited and tested.** Siroc is derived from the word sirocco, meaning a hot, dusty wind that blows across the Mediterranean coast. This wind is so powerful that it creates ripples in the sand. This ripple effect is mimicked in this sock pattern, created by the cabling technique. This pattern has two heel options, the Shadow Wrap or Afterthought Heel, based on your preference and also includes both charted and written instructions. *There is all-over cabling on the leg and then the foot only has cabling on the front half; this means the leg will fit more snugly.
