Suovilla

Suovilla is a simple triangular and textured shawl pattern worked diagonally from tip to tip. The textured stitch is easy to do and combined with simple stockinette stitch it makes this project fly by so quickly. This pattern comes in two sizes, scarf and shawl, but because of its consturction, you can easily modify the size to fit your needs. This pattern provides both written instructions and a chart. SIZES 1 (2) = scarf (shawl) FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 100 (150) cm / 40 (59) inches x 30 (45) cm / 2 (17.75) inches YARN 110 (200) g or 300 (540) m / 330 (590) yards of Suovilla Riite yarn (100% Finnish wool, 270m / 100g) or similar sport weight yarn you get gauge with. Estimated amount for each color is: MC 80 (130) g or 215 (350) m / 235 (380) yards CC 30 (70) g or 80 (190) m / 90 (210) yards Suovilla shawl is worked from one tip outwards. An asymmetrical triangle shape is created by increasing on the left edge and decreasing on the right edge. A textured stripe is worked every few rows with a contrast color.
