Vårvinter Skirt

**Sizes** 1, (2), 3, (4), 5, (6), 7, (8) Finished circumference waist: 63, (73), 83, (93), 103, (110), 120, (130) cm. Finished circumference hips: 83, (93), 103, (114), 123, (130), 142, (152) cm. **Gauge** 12 sts*18 rows =10 cm knitted in stockinette stitch in the round after blocking. **Yarn** Istex Alafosslopi 250, (300), 350, (400), 500, (550), 600, (650) grams. **Materials** Elastic band 2 cm wide, and a length about 2 cm shorter than your waist circumference. **Needles** Circular needles: 6 mm needles. Adjust your needles if needed in order to meet the accurate gauge. You will also need 5 markers. **About the Pattern** Vårvinter Skirt is a warm skirt perfect to wear when you need some extra warmth to your thighs. I wear mine mostly as an outdoor skirt over my regular trousers when the weather is cold, but you can of course also wear it along with a pair of tights. Vårvinter is a collection inspired by the season in Jämtland in between winter and spring. It is a lovely season to spend time outside, when the sun is warm but there’s still snow on the ground. The collection Vårvinter is perfect for this season (and of course all other seasons when you need some warm and cosy garments). The skirt has a folded waistband where you sew in an elastic band to keep the skirt up, short rows in the back to shape for your behind, and broken rib pattern in both sides. The skirt is finished with a split hem in broken rib pattern.
