May Top

The May Top is seamlessly worked first flat, then in the round, from the top down. It features a lace motif in the middle of the front. The pattern begins with a cast-on for the upper back and continues until the end of the armholes. After picking up stitches from the cast-on edge, both fronts are worked separately. The fronts are divided along the back neck and extend over the shoulders to the front. There are no shaping decreases or increases along the sides of the body. The intended fit is with approximately 5-7 cm / 2-2.75" of positive ease around the bust.
