Dutch Tulips

**Dutch Tulips** is a delightful little shawl, that combines all my favorite stitches and techniques: mindless garter stitch, engaging mosaic knitting, and delicate eyelets. Repeats are short and easy to memorize. Only one color at a time. No purling. I promise you'll enjoy knitting it! The shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shape, knitted sideways. The pattern is written to use most of the 2 skeins of yarn, but the size is easy to adjust by working more or fewer repeats (you will need more yarn if you want to make it bigger). The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or charts. -------------------------- **YARN:** * (MC) - **[Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply][1]** (100% SW Merino, 400 yd /110g) - 1 skein, shown in **River Severn** * (CC) - **[Miss Babs Estrellita][2]** (92% SW Merino wool, 8% Lurex, 400 yd /115g) - 1 skein, shown in **Blooming Pansies** **or** any similar fingering weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors. **NEEDLES:** US #5 / 3.75 mm circular needles (or as required to get the gauge) **NOTIONS:** darning needle. **GAUGE:** 20 sts x 44 rows = 4” in pattern.
