Turtle Town Cowl

***This pattern contains both knit and crochet instructions, even though the listing is shown as knitting only. I have included details below for any of my crocheters looking for info! (Please note that the knit version of this cowl calls for DK weight yarn, and the crochet version calls for sport weight yarn.)*** This cowl was inspired by a wonderful trip to Maui where I was fortunate enough to swim with not one, but three sea turtles over the course of several days. As a small thank you to the island and the people of West Maui who warmly welcomed us after the devastating fires, all profits earned from the sale of this pattern will be donated to various charities working to rebuild the City of Lahaina and support the surrounding communities. **KNITTING DETAILS** **Needles** 24” / 60 cm circular needles in size US 3 (3.25 mm) 24” / 60 cm circular needles in size US 5 (3.75 mm) or any needle that achieves gauge/desired size **Yarn & Yardage** Two or more high-contrasting colors in DK weight yarn. MC: 231 yards / 211 m | CC: 208 yards / 190 m If using two colors for CC (as shown in pattern), 35% of your total CC length will be used for CC1, and the remaining 65% will be used for CC2. **Notions** Tapestry needle 3 stitch markers Scissors **Size & Finished Measurements** One size 13.5” W x 14” H / 34 cm W x 35.5 cm H (when finished and blocked) **Gauge** 24 stitches and 26 rows for 4” (10 cm) square measured over colorwork pattern in the round after blocking ~~~ **CROCHET DETAILS** **Hook** 2.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain listed gauge. **Yarn & Yardage** Two or more high-contrasting colors in **sport weight yarn**.
