Chicken Hat

This pattern uses basic stitches like sc and dc. It works up really fast. You can get two hats from one skein of Bernat Blanket Speckle yarn. It requires Super bulky yarn like Bernat Blanket Speckle yarn in body color, red and black. For the beak and tassels it requires 4 yarn like Red Heart Super Saver. I used a smaller hook for beak, 3mm. The size is for an adult but my 10 year old can wear the hat just fine. Would be easy to adjust it smaller but instructions are not listed in the pattern. Once the base hat is made the tail and chicken head details are added, then the ear flaps. The tassels are then added to the ear flaps.
