I designed this crazy crochet hat after the traditional European Christmas monster who accompanies Santa to scare anyone who isn't on the Nice list! This Intermediate level crochet pattern uses techniques like single crochet, chain stitch, back loop only crochet, magic ring, and working in the round. The fuzzy, furry pile on the fabric comes from a dense layer of chain loops worked onto the hat every other round - it's VERY warm as well as having a truly unique texture :) This shaggy horned headpiece could also be a ram, a yeti, or a Wild Thing! Materials: 4.50 mm hook, 3.75 mm hook, 5.00 mm hook Yarn: Color A: 710 yds #4 worsted weight acrylic (I used I Love This Yarn! - 2 skeins, in "Linen") Color B: 150 yds #4 worsted weight acrylic (I used I Love This Yarn!
