Maybelle Baby Blanket

This is my Maybelle Baby Blanket and I'm so so pleased with it and i have to say it has been the most enjoyable project. Quick, easy, high pretty factor and great satisfaction. I have divided this project into 4 different segments and every segment can easily be made in one week, spending a casual 1-2 hours a day of crocheting. That means this blanket can be ready within 4-5 weeks, in a casual pace. That is fabulous! ABOUT THE ASSEMBLING The baby blanket is made up from 30 Maybelle Squares in 6 different colors, being 5 squares wide and 6 squares long. It is joined with a contrasting color and later framed with a border and edging. MEASUREMENTS Finished blanket measures approx. 30 x34 inches/ 76 x 87 cm. YARN 14 balls (50g) of Tilda yarn (Sports Weight / 4ply, 50g approx 150m/164yards). I have used: 4 x 005 - Cream 4 x 507 - Chalk Beige 1 x 063 - Berry Pink 1 x 541 - Chalk Pink 1 x 066 - Dusty Blue 1 x 572 - Baby Blue 1 x 025 - Brown Melange 1 x 535 - Chalk Yellow MAYBELLE BLANKET TILDA YARN KIT AVAILABLE IN MY ETSY SHOP! TOOLS NEEDED - Crochet hook 3.00 mm or adjusted to your tension. - Darning needles to weave in ends - Scissors GOOD TO KNOW If you are planning on making a different size keep in mind that cotton blankets tend to get heavy. I would use another type of yarn for a a King Size bed spread for sure. Also, to give you an idea of the yarn use this is what I have measured (depending on your tension of course...): • Every flower takes approx. 5 g of yarn • Every added square takes approx. 5 g of yarn • Every joined square takes approx. 5 g of yarn • The border takes approx. 15 g of each stripe and 25 g of joining color.
