도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
Pattern was written for 3 colours of yarn (A, B, C), but is suitable for projects using more or fewer colours.
Pattern was written for worsted weight yarn (the designer used Vanna's Choice), but was thoroughly tested with both worsted and DK weight yarn.
DK details:
4.0mm (G) hook
Gauge: 9 rows and 18 st in dc = 10 cm.
Finished size = 10.25 in.
**The Printer Friendly version of this pattern contains only one photo of the completed square. Testers indicated that the photos in the original pattern are very helpful, so you may want to download both versions.**
**The designer is a VERY tight crocheter, which is acknowledged in the pattern. Please check your gauge before you start, as indicated in the pattern, and also make sure that you measure as you go and check your measurements against the gauge checks listed in the pattern**
**A video tutorial for the back post top loop (bptl) stitches found in the pattern is now available via my blog at this link: https://tootsandmomo.wordpress.com/2016/11/03/demonstration-of-the-bptl-stitches-in-the-matties-flower-12-square-pattern/**
The Story of Mattie's Flower:
In the 1980s, my Great Grandma Mattie started making afghans for each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made a few different styles of afghan, but the one that she gave me (and a lot of my cousins) has the same flower at its centre as the one in this design. I reverse engineered the flower from the afghan I was given.
One of my Great Aunts helped my Great Grandma make these afghans and she has continued to make them, even after my Great Grandma passed away in 1991. Having talked to her, she says she never saw the original pattern for this particular flower – it was only ever handwritten. We may never know where my Great Grandma got the original pattern, or if she saw a similar motif and figured out how to make it (she did this frequently), but my hope is that her flower will continue on through this pattern.
**Revised Pattern Published April 28, 2016. Revision includes clarified wording in both versions, and a new photo in the photo-rich version.**
**Revised Pattern Published November 2, 2016. Revision includes correction of a typo in one of the special stitches that has caused some confusion. My apologies!**
