Rose Windows

Inspired by [Nesnems][1] desire for a rectangular shawl. I would like to thank her and also [Kim][2] for working through this pattern in its rough stage. Look in the projects to see examples. I have given instructions to change the width/length, so there should be no problem in adapting to suit your preferences. Please note: that the ch8 at the beginning of a row counts as the first dc & ch5 of the first V-st. This note is included the V2 version of the pattern (and that is the only change from the original). Thanks for the suggestion, I-hook! And here is a blocking tip from [mjotread](person) which is very helpful. " I originally blocked 11 in. by 86 in. doing most of the pulling lengthwise. Then I noticed the roses show up better if the pattern is fully blocked across the width so I reblocked, re-steamed to 13 in wide and it did NOT lose any length."
