Oona's Crocheted Doctor Who Scarf

This pattern is for the 4th Doctor’s scarf in the original colour sequence The original scarf was over 12 feet long. In this pattern I have slightly shortened each colour section, resulting in a much more practical overall length of 10’ 8”- still pretty long but not so long you would constantly trip on it!! It is 12 inches wide. I have seen versions of this scarf in both SC and DC (US terms). I decided to use HDC (US) throughout as I felt it gave the scarf a bit of texture- somewhat reminiscent of the original knitted scarf in garter stitch. You will need Stylecraft Special DK in the following colours: • Camel (2 skeins) • Burgundy (1 skein) • Khaki (1 skein) • Lipstick (1 skein) • Sunshine (1 skein) • Graphite (1 skein) • Copper (1 skein) I purchased my yarn from Sconch Textiles in the UK (http://www.sconchtextiles.co.uk/ ). They have a ‘Doctor Who Colour Pack’ containing one skein of each of the above colours. But please note that for this size of scarf you will need an extra skein of the camel.
