Kirk Ave Tam

This cute, slouchy tam was designed with the [Cowgirl Cowl by Pam Powers][1] in mind: my sisted wanted a hat that matched. Worked from the bottom up with a lace brim followed by a slouchy stockinette body, the tam shows off handiwork and nice yarn all at once. It is topped off with a tassel for extra sass. Pattern calls for a skein of Malabrigo Yarn Rios, but I was using leftovers from the cowl and used probably 3/4 of a skein. Any worsted weight yarn will do. To make the tam larger or smaller, add or subtract in sets of 10 and add or subtract **3 (NOT 2!)** accordingly from the number of K stitches before K2TOG in hat decreases.
