Materials: Approx 400 yds, 4 oz of Sport Weight yarn and a size H crochet hook or approx 400 yds, 7 oz of worsted weight yarn and a size K crochet hook Exact yardage needed will depend on desired finished size of shawl. one removable stitch marker Gauge: about 4.5 dc per inch with sport weight yarn and a size H hook. Gauge is not critical, use an appropriate sized hook to achieve a nice fabric with nice drape. Shawl will expand slightly with blocking.
