Sandown Socks are knit in the round from the cuff down using the magic loop method. They feature a stretchy cuff knit in 1 x 1 ribbing, accent stripes along the leg created with purl stitches, and textured ripples formed with simple cable stitches. The heel is constructed using the ‘Eye of the Partridge’ heel flap which adds a nice texture and strength to the heel, and toes are finished using gradual decreases. The length of the leg is adjustable and can be made longer by repeating the pattern sequence. The pattern is ideal for semi-solid or lightly speckled yarns that will show off the textured pattern of the socks. **Sizes:** S (M, L) to fit foot circumference 18 (20, 22)cm / 7 (8, 9)” Sample shown in size M. **Gauge:** 34 stitches and 48 rounds = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4” in stockinette stitch, knit in the round on 2.5 mm US1½ needles. **Needles:** 2.25 (US size 1) and 2.5mm (US size 1.5) 80cm / 32” long circular knitting needles for magic loop method. **Materials:** Approximately 70 (80, 90)g of fingering weight / 4ply yarn.
