Inspired by the skyline view of the mountains across the bay from my home in Homer, Alaska, this bandana cowl is a fun, approachable knit that is also a great opportunity to use up stash yarn! I used 4 colors of Corrie Worsted from La Bien Aimee for mine, but you can use any light worsted/heavy DK yarn for yours. Feel free to use fewer or more colors The Homer Cowl is knit from the top down, starting with flat knitting to create a triangle shape. It is then joined in the round and the colorwork section begins. This is my favorite cowl shape to wear! **Materials:** **Yarn** La Bien Aimée Corrie Worsted 75% Falkland Corriedale/ 25% Gotland Wool 250 yards [230 meters] 100 g Or other light worsted/heavy DK weight yarn Colors used in the sample are: C1: Lichen (light green) C2: Hegelia (medium blue) C3: Amege (dark blue) C4: Avoine (grey) **Yardage:** Note that yardage is estimated and can vary between knitters C1 Lichen: 144 yards [132 meters] C2 Hegelia: 128 yards [117 meters] C3 Amege: 142 yards [130 meters] C4 Avoine: 43 yards [39 meters] **Needles** Main: US 6 [4.0mm], 20” [51 cm] long cable circular needles Ribbing: US 5 [3.75mm], 20” [51 cm] long cable circular needles **Notions** Stitch markers, including one unique marker for BOR, darning needle, scissors **Gauge** 18 sts and 25 rows over 4” [10 cm] in stockinette and colorwork worked both in the round and flat after blocking.
