Impulse Buy

This shawl was designed to work with a variety of yarns at a variety of yardages to serve as an answer to the question of what to do with a skein or two of beautiful yarn bought on impulse. The sample used a single beautiful skein of fingering weight merino/silk blend yarn dyed in a custom colorway for A Good Yarn Sarasota by Life in the Long Grass. If you love the color [you can find it here][1]. Worked as a side to side triangle on a curving bias the shawl features a garter stitch body with a simple lace trim along the neckline. There are also lace details on the other two edges to make blocking a breeze. Click the final photo on this page and you will see page 3 from the pattern which contains guidance on how to figure out the right needle and yardage for Sport/DK/Worsted/Bulky yarns so that you have as much flexibility as possible.
