It is worked top-down seamlessly. After creating the yoke and body, the sleeves are finished separately. Lastly, stitches are picked up for a double knitted button band. The yoke is worked in double broken rib stitch, which gradually makes way to stockinette stitch. Cables are used to create a smooth diagonal line which separates the double broken rib section from the stockinette section. The lines are continued until they meet in the middle of the front- and backside and the sleeves. Then the body and sleeves are finished off in stockinette stitch and finally a 1x1 rib section. The rib section is finished off with a Tubular Bind-off. The double knitted button band uses an Italian Cast-on and Cast-off. The cardigan is worked with two strands held double - a merino and a mohair strand. Alternatively, it can be worked mohair free with a single strand of DK weight merino or similar fiber. **Finished garment circumference:** 92.5 (100, 107, 114.5, 122, 129)(136.5, 143.5, 151, 158, 169) cm *37 (40, 42, 45.75, 48.75, 51.75)(54.5, 57.5, 60.25, 63.25, 67.75)”* *This cardigan is designed to be worn with 8-15 cm/*3.25-6”* positive ease. The circumference of the finished garment should therefore be 8-15cm/*3.25-6”* more than your bust circumference/circumference of the widest section of your upper body.* If you’re in between sizes, I recommend choosing the *larger* one. **Example: If you have a bust circumference of 95 cm/37.5”, please choose size C with a finished garment circumference of 107cm/42”.* **Gauge swatch:** 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 ” on 4 mm (US 6) needles, worked flat in double broken rib stitch, measured after blocking **Double broken rib stitch:** Row/round 1: Knit all sts. Row/round 2: *k2, p2* and repeat until the end of the row. *Repeat rows 1 and 2.* **Yardage:** 1125 (1210, 1300, 1390, 1475, 1565)(1655, 1740, 1930, 2195, 2450) m / *1230 (1325, 1420, 1520, 1610, 1710)(1810, 1900, 2110, 2195, 2450) yds* *Note: If you’re knitting with two strands, you will need this amount from both qualities.* **Needles and notions:** - 4mm, 3mm and 2.5mm *(US 6, US 2.5 and US 2)* circular knitting needles (with a 100cm / *40”* cable) or an adjusted needle size to achieve gauge *If you’re not knitting your sleeves with the Magic Loop method, you will need 4mm and 3mm *(US 6 and US 2.5)* DPNs or Shorties* - 4 stitch markers - Cable needle - Tapestry needle, to weave in ends - Yarn leftovers, additional cables or knitting cords, to place sts on hold - 4 buttons with a circumference of 25mm/*1”*
