(Super) Basic Super Bulky Toque

**Description:** This basic ribbed toque is a great pattern for new and experienced knitters alike. It is knit in the round, bottom up in a 1x1 ribbed pattern. This pattern could be knit using super bulky yarn or multiple strands held together to achieve gauge. Additionally, it could be knit with a brim, without a brim, completely fitted, or with a bit of room at the crown, depending on your own unique style! **Method:** knitting **Skill Level:** beginner **Yarn:** super bulky **Yardage:** 100 m (110 yd) for toque knit with foldover brim. This yardage does not factor in pom poms, so you would need more if you were planning on making one for your toque. **Sizes:** Size 1 c/o 40 sts 20 cm (8 in) across brim unstretched Fits head circumference 54 cm (21 in2) - 57 cm (22.5 in) Size 2 c/o 44 sts 23 cm (9 in) across brim unstretched Fits head circumference 58 cm (23 in) - 61 cm (24 in) **Needles:** US13 (9 mm) circular needles and DPNs, or whatever needle allows you to achieve gauge. **Approx. Gauge:** 14 sts by 13 rows for 10 cm x 10 cm (4 in x 4 in), neither washed nor blocked in 1x1 ribbing (k1, p1). **Notions:** scissors, tapestry needle, stitch marker. **Abbreviations:** c/o - cast on sts - stitches k - knit p - purl k2tog - knit two together BOR - beginning of round DPN - double pointed needle sm - stitch marker **Some Notes on Yarn** This pattern is super flexible in terms of what yarn you decide to use.
