HAPPY Hat

The lively play of colours in the cozy, thick **HAPPY Hat** is created by knitting with two strands of gradient yarn. The knitting begins with a **provisional cast-on** – the pattern also includes an easy alternative method for this. After that, you’ll **knit in the round entirely in stockinette stitch.** Once the provisional cast-on is undone, the piece is **folded inward** and the stitches are knit together, creating a **double-layered,** extra-warm brim. Next comes the body of the hat, followed by the crown through shaping decreases. Finally, the brim is folded up once more, giving you **three layers of warmth over the ears.** The pattern is ideal **for confident beginners.** To help you use up leftover yarn, I’ve also included an extra pattern for a **HAPPY Headband.** The process is very similar to the HAPPY Hat – the headband is essentially its brim. Der Strickprozess beginnt mit einem **provisorischen Maschenanschlag** – dafür wird in der Anleitung auch eine einfache Alternative beschrieben. Anschließend wird in Runden ausschließlich glatt rechts gestrickt. Nach dem Auflösen des provisorischen Anschlags wird das Strickstück nach innen geklappt, und die Maschen werden zusammengestrickt. Dadurch entsteht ein **doppelt gestrickter,** besonders warmer Bund. Im nächsten Schritt folgt der „Körper“ der Mütze, bevor die Krone durch gezielte Abnahmen geformt wird. Zum Abschluss wird der Bund ein weiteres Mal umgeklappt, sodass **über den Ohren insgesamt drei wärmende Stricklagen liegen.** Die Anleitung eignet sich ideal für **geübte Strickanfänger*innen.** Um z.
