Wisdom of Trees

A beautiful motif with intertwining cables, that remind me of the cleverly communicating roots of the trees, creates an eye-catching wide border on this cozy triangular shawl. Worked sideways from one tip to the opposite edge makes this shawl fun to knit and easy to wear. *This pattern was created in collaboration with Manos del Uruguay and I had the pleasure of working with their wonderful Alegría Grande for my sample.* Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from. I hope you enjoy the pattern! ---- ---- SIZE OF SAMPLE length along top edge: 209 cm / 82.25“ depth: 83 cm / 32.5“ adjustable to your liking or the yardage you have available YARN Designed for worsted-aran weight yarn in solid/semi-solid colourways. Allow approx. 720 m / 788 yds to get the size of the sample. The pattern is easily adjustable for other yarn weights and/or yardages. Yarn used for sample: Manos del Uruguay Alegría Grande (worsted weight, 100 g = 180 m / 197 yds), 4 skeins in colourway Leo. GAUGE & NEEDLES Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size. Gauge on sample: 17 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in garter stitch after light blocking.
