Kuutar Tee

Kuutar is a Finnish word meaning “the lady of the moon” or “the goddess of moon”. The Kuutar tee is knitted seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and knitted separately. The back is shaped with short-rows to give it a bit more length and to improve the fit. The Kuutar tee is a slightly lighter weight and shorter sleeved version of my popular Kuutar pullover. It also has a shorter neckline and a slimmer fit than the original version. The lace pattern is modified from a lace chart found in the Japanese knitting stitch bible by Hitomi Shida. Pitsineuleisen kaarrokkeen jälkeen hihat ja vartalo-osa neulotaan erikseen suljettuna neuleena. Takakappaleeseen lisätään pituutta lyhennetyillä kerroksilla, jolloin neuleen istuvuus paranee. Lyhythihainen Kuutar-paita on neulottu hieman ohuemmalla langalla kuin alkuperäinen Kuutar-neulepaita. Siinä on myös lyhyempi pääntien reunus, kapeampi mitoitus ja tietenkin kesäisen lyhyet hihat, jotka toimivat myös osana kerrospukeutumista.
