**Now available for independent purchase / download.** *This pattern was originally published in *52 Weeks of Shawls* by Laine Publishing.* *Silta* is a symmetrical triangular shawl worked from top to bottom. The shawl initially shifts through a variety of texture sections within a single yarn color. It allows you to appreciate each different stitch pattern while still maintaining a cohesive feel. *Silta* was inspired by the architectural lines of an old bridge – hence the name, which is Finnish for “bridge”. The dark blue paired with the dusty beige reminded Tif Neilan of vintage items, something old and loved, and felt like a combination she could pair with many items in her wardrobe. **FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** Wingspan: 78” / 198 cm. Depth: 32” / 81 cm. **MATERIALS** Yarn: On Stage – Short Stories by Nature’s Luxury (50% wool, 30% silk, 20% camel, 219 yds / 200 m – 100 g). 2 skeins of each colourway The Laughing Hippopotamus (MC) and Night Shift (CC). Or approx. 428 yds / 391 m (MC) and 385 yds / 350 m (CC) of DK weight yarn. Also shown in Red Pony (MC) and Nearer the Moon (CC). Needles: US 10 / 6 mm 32” / 80 cm (or longer) circular needles.
