Signs of Summer Shawl

This is an easy triangle shawl pattern using chains and double crochet and 1 skein of heavy fingering/sport weight yarn. Materials: 1 skein (365m/399 yds per 100g) Fyberspates Scrumptious yarn (45%silk, 55% merino) color 333 Seafoam. Any sport weight yarn should work. Size H crochet hook. 1 stitch marker (optional), tapestry needle to weave in ends. Gauge Getting the exact gauge is not critical for this pattern but you may need more yarn. Measurements Wingspan-51 inches, top to tip—26 inches. I used 99g of yarn to make this size. Pattern Notes: Shawl is worked from the top down. Beginning ch 3 counts as a dc throughout pattern. Ch 1 sp of the V-stitch in the middle of each row is the center tip of the shawl. It may help to put a stitch marker there. Pattern sequence is a repeat of rows 7-16: 3 rows of open work, 4 solid rows, 1 row of open work, followed by 2 solid rows. You can add rows as desired, but would definitely need more yarn. I have included stitch counts for each row to make it easy. Special stitches: V-stitch—(2 dc, ch1, 2 dc).
