Halfway between the shawl and the scarf, Rauli is a very soft oval-shaped accessory knitted in brioche to drape around the shoulders or wrap around the neck. SHAWL DIMENSIONS Finished measurements taken after blocking: 220 cm [86½"] wingspan; 60 cm [23½"] depth. MATERIALS Yarn Main Color (MC): 600 m [660 yd] of fingering weight yarn (400 m [440 yd]/100g skein) in a darker color. Contrasting Color (CC): 600 m [660 yd] of fingering weight yarn (400 m [440 yd]/100g skein) in a lighter color. Shown in Airdelune Merino Fingering (100% Merino; 400 m [438 yd]/100g) in the color Havana for MC and the color Oro for CC. Needles 4 mm [US size 6] 100 cm [40″] circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. Notions Stitch markers; tapestry needle. GAUGE 22 sts and 46 brioche rows = 10 cm [4″] in basic two-color brioche stitch, after blocking.
