Rippled Sand

For pattern support please go to the questions thread [here][1]. **update 07/29: Danish and Portuguese translation added** Rippled Sand is an asymmetric triangular shawl worked from the narrow point of the right edge. Stitches are increased every RS row. Garter stitch 'ripples' and cute bubbly stripes add interest and make this shawl an entertaining project. Optional tassels can be added last. Both the RS and the WS of the stripe pattern are very beautiful - weaving in the ends carefully, as invisibly as possible, will offer you the option to wear this shawl WS out too. Yarn Isager Trio (382 yds (349 m)/50g), 2 skeins or approximately (755 yds/690 m) in MC; shown in color Linen. 1 skein or approximately (306 yds/280 m) in CC; shown in color Frost. Isager Spinni (656 yds (600 m)/100g), **important note: this yarn is also sold in 50g skeins!, please make sure to buy a total of ~ (1090 yds/1000 m)** 2 skeins or approximately (1061 yds/970 m); shown in color 2S (light grey). **Note: Both yarns (Trio and Spinni) are held together throughout. If substituting yarn, make sure to choose a yarn that gives the correct gauge and a fabric that is not too tight.** For **yarn/color inspiration** please have a look at the gorgeous tester's projects [here][2] Needles US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 32" (80 cm) long or size needed to get gauge. Gauge 21 sts x 30 rows = 4" (10 cm) square in Stockinette stitch with 1 strand of Trio and 1 strand of Spinni held together after blocking. Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect yardage and final size when different. Finished measurements Approximately 76.75" (190 cm) wingspan, 47.25" (120 cm) wide at full side of top edge.
