Big Hearts is a simple kids pullover that features a sweet color work heart yoke detail. **REVISED** This pattern has been revised so the new and improved version is a bit different from the original. You can choose to download either version when you buy the pattern. **Sizes** (2) 4 (6) 8 (10) 12 years Circumference at chest - (70) 75 (82) 86 (90) 95 cm / (27.5) 29.5 (32) 34 (35.5) 37.5 inches **Gauge** 21sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4mm in stockinette stitch in the round **Construction** Big Hearts-*revised* is worked from the top-down beginning with the folded ribbed neckband, using German Short Rows (GSR) to raise the back of the neck for added comfort, and then worked in the round with a combination of a circular yoke and raglan construction that allow for a nice fit and seamless color work. Stitches are put on hold for the sleeves while the body is knit and picked up later for a seamless and simple construction. * * * * * **ORIGINAL** This sweater knits up quickly with fingering weight held double. **Sizes** 1-2 years - 22 inches (56cm) 2-4 years - 24 inches (61cm) 4-6 years - 26 inches (66cm) **Gauge** 22 stitches and 32 rows = 10cm/4in If you do not wish to swatch for this project, you can begin with the sleeves and check your gauge after a few centimeters. **Materials** Approximately 175 (200, 225) grams of fingering weight or sock yarn for the main color and a small amount of the same weight yarn for the hearts in a contrasting color (held double throughout). **Construction** This sweater is knit in the round from the top down. The neckband begins with a tubular cast on and a tubular bind off is used at the hem and sleeve cuffs.
