Winter Waves Scarf

The Winter Waves Scarf I have to admit. Winter is not my favourite season. It gets really cold here, in Manitoba. Like, skin freezing in minutes, why do I even live here kind of cold. So, to make it a little more bearable I curl up on the couch and create. My goal is to make beautiful accessories that compliment my parka and boots, but will also keep me toasty warm. This keyhole scarf just kind of fell out of my head, onto my hook. I wanted to make a unique scarf with lots of yummy texture and not too many holes so it would keep in all the warmth. I love the way it’s woven into itself to give it a lovely wavy look. It reminds me that beach weather will return someday. As an added bonus, this pattern is easy to modify into a light spring shawl. Just use light weight yarn (like fingering or dk) and a smaller hook. Keep repeating the rows until you achieve the length you want! And there's a bonus bonus! This pattern contains tutorials in working into the 3rd loop and creating the Crossed Double Crochet. I hope you enjoy making this scarf as much as I did. Finished Size: Finished Width: (On widest end) 29” Finished Length: 45 1/2" Materials: I used Loops & Threads Impeccable. It is 100% Acrylic. Aran (#4) weight. Any yarn of similar weight would work.
